2009 Annual Audit

The 2009 Annual Audit commenced in January, 2009.

Our office is piloting a new approach this year, where appointments are randomly selected for audit shortly after they become effective, through a process administered by BC Stats. This approach will mean that organizations can expect more timely audit reports. Organizations can also expect file requests from our office throughout the year.

Audit findings will be reported to the deputy minister or organization head on a quarterly basis. First quarter results were reported to deputy ministers in May 2009 and these findings and interim observations have been included in our 2008/09 Annual Report.

Second quarter results were reported to deputy ministers in August 2009. Third quarter results are expected to be reported in February 2010.

Overall findings will be published in our 2009/10 Annual Report, expected May 2010.
